Why Sports Media?
​
​Growing up, I’ve always had a fascination with sports, from playing various sports like football and basketball to watching highlights of my favorite players and teams. When I wasn’t able to play those sports at a level I was satisfied with, I realized I still loved it. This is when I pivoted to sports media to continue my passion within the community. To tell the stories that come from sports: some of the best things that journalism has to offer.

About Me
​
I started doing my due diligence in sports media when I arrived at San Francisco State University in 2021. I began by creating short-form content featuring deep-level analysts on various NFL topics. I started writing about sports when I joined the student publication, Golden Gate Xpress, as a sports reporter covering the multiple sports teams on campus. I became the Sports Editor of the newspaper in the Fall semester of 2025. I learned during my time creating content and writing that the stories that come from sports are so unique because they offer insight into the athletes playing, something the public rarely gets to see. This aspect of sports journalism is what drives me to continue this career path.
